Tips Fax Via the Computer or the Internet

To fax a file or a document, you can do it directly from the computer. Your computer needs to be set up for the fax with a modem.
To set up a fax on the computer, as follows:
1. Insert the proper master CD of Windows XP, either for SP1 or SP2.
2. Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
3. Click on Add/Remove Windows Components
4. Select/tick on Fax Service, then click Next
5. When finished processing, click Finish.
Follow up:
To check whether the fax has been installed, you can see from Start > Printer & Faxes. Check if the Icon of the fax is there.
To send a fax:
1. Open the file type that wants to be sent (eg. Doc, Xls, etc)
2. For an extension document, you need you open Microsoft Word
3. Open Microsoft word, when finished, click on File > Print
4. Select “Fax” as the type of the printer
5. Put the fax number
6. Your document will be sent to the number.
